Hourglass Ambient Cheek Lighting Palette
By Unknown - November 28, 2014
Ever since the release of this palette a week or so ago, i've been sooo tempted to purchase it. Hourglass has always been one of those brands that produces products that you're always bound to love. When i first saw this palette in stores, i was in love! The powders are baked so nicely and look so soft and gentle.
Of course being the impulse buyer that i am, i purchased the palette within 4 minutes of being in Mecca hahaha.
The packaging, as with all hourglass products, is super luxurious. The blushes are stored in a rose gold palette which includes a decently sized mirror inside the compact.
( Left: LUMINOUS FLUSH, Middle: INCANDESCENT ELECTRA, Right: MOOD EXPOSURE)
Here's a swatch of the three blushes:
Probably not as noticeable in the photo, but these blushes give the most subtle and natural looking touch of colour to your face. The thing i find different between hourglass blushes and your normal blushes is that these all have illuminating effects. They make your skin glow and look healthy as well as giving you that hint of colour.
LUMINOUS FLUSH:
Luminous Flush is described as "A champagne rose blush fused with Luminous Light to evoke a candlelit glimmer."
It really gives a nice hint of colour and reminds me a lot of my PeachyKeen blush from MAC, except a lot more illuminating! Perfect everyday blush for those of you who wear blush frequently!
INCANDESCENT ELECTRA:
This is the limited edition shade that is exclusive to this palette! "A cool peach blush blended with Incandescent Light for a celestial glow." This shade is so gorgeous when swatched. Its a perfect peachy pink colour and would look lovely as a subtle highlighter blush.
MOOD EXPOSURE:
I would definitely urge you all to give the hourglass blushes a go. For $76, it's so worth it! Let me know what your thoughts are on it :)

Hey Kathryn! I was thinking of buying a blush, highlighter and a bronzer from hourglass! My skin tone is ivory pure 'light-yellow beige', what kind of shades do you recommend for a natural glowy/radiant everyday look? Its really expensive and I don't wanna mess up ): I really trust your reviews!
